Muy Seo is a researcher and lecturer at the Center for the Study of Humanitarian Law of the Royal University of Law and Economics (RULE) in Cambodia. Since 2016, she has conducted legal research and training on various topics relating to human rights law and humanitarian law. In addition to her research role, she teaches an International Human Rights Law course and coaches law students to participate in the Nelson Mandela World Human Rights Moot Court Competition in Geneva, Switzerland. Her main research interests include the areas of gender and the rights to food and land, gender in business and human rights, women’s leadership in legal professions, fair trial rights, women’s rights, and children’s rights. Her current contribution to research projects includes the research project on the nexus between statelessness, poverty, and human rights (2022) and the DEMETER Project on Land Commercialization, Gendered Agrarian Transformation, and the Right to Food in Cambodia (2017–2021).
