Mr. SOY Kimsan

Kimsan is the Director of the Center for the Study of Humanitarian Law attached to the English Language-Based Bachelor of Law program at the Royal University of Law and Economics. Since 2014, he has taught and trained law students at the program in international human rights law, international humanitarian law, fair trial, research, and moot court. He has also contributed to the development of teaching handbooks to standardize quality teaching in his courses at the program. Aside from a teaching role, he conducts independent and project-based research and publishes on judicial independence, labour rights of construction workers, international criminal justice, and fair trial rights. As the Center’s Director, he has significant experience managing internationally funded human rights and development research projects involving both domestic and international partners.  He has two international master’s degrees in law and human rights from South Korea and Australia.
