Adjunct Lecturer Teaching Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)

Ms. Currie is a New York licensed lawyer. Currie has a J.D. in Common Law from the University of Victoria, LL.M. in Chinese Civil Law & International Law from Peking University, and an LL.M. in International Dispute Settlement (International Arbitration & Mediation) from the Graduate Institute Geneva. She has a certification in International Legal Mergers & Acquisitions from the IMMA Institute. Currie is also the Chair of the AML Compliance Committee and an Independent Director at KB Kookmin Bank. She also sits on the board of several local companies. Prior to heading the Korea Desk at a regional law firm in Southeast Asia, Currie specialized in Practice Development and Foreign Direct Investment, specializing in regulated industry M&A transactions, at a national law firm in China. As a previous “Business Women to Watch”, Tatler’s Top 8, “Top 100 Business Influencers” and entrepreneur, Currie has also consulted for multinational luxury brands on their entry into and strategy development in emerging markets. Her multicultural and diverse sectoral background provides a holistic perspective nuanced to the practical characteristics of transactions in nascent M&A regulatory regimes.
