ELBML is a very suitable program for those who are interested in domestic law, especially those who want to be or are currently a legal practitioner in Cambodia. Without a law background, I found it challenging at first to catch up with the lessons. However, the ELBML curriculum is very helpful since it includes the Introduction to Cambodia’s Legal Theory and Practice course which covers the foundational basis, substance, and knowledge of our legal system. The curriculum is practical as it covers various aspects of Cambodian law. I like that each course does not only incorporate theories and comparative aspects of international law and domestic law, but also dives deeper into the rationale behind the making of each law and, particularly, the current practice of the law in the Cambodian context, which I find extremely useful to broaden my perspectives in legal reasoning and analysis. Having studied with experienced legal practitioners, I find my understanding of Cambodian law and legal practice, as well as my legal reasoning and analysis skills, have been significantly improved. I look forward to further developing my legal knowledge and skills in the program. Therefore, I would highly recommend the ELBML program to those who wish to pursue a career in law.
