Mr. RA Sophanarith

Adjunct Lecturer: Teaching Advanced Academic Legal Writing

Mr.Sophanarith is an adjunct lecturer of law at the English Language-Based Bachelor of Law Program (ELBBL) and English Language-Based Master of Law Program (ELBML) at the Royal University of Law and Economics. He teaches Tort Law and Academic Legal Writing.

Besides the above academic endeavours, he is also a corporate in-house legal counsel, where he works as Senior Legal Manager at one of the largest integrated resorts in Cambodia and Southeast Asia. In that role, he oversees and supports the legal affairs operations of the company. He published an article in the official bulletin of the Bar Association of the Kingdom of Cambodia in 2019, focusing on practical aspects of usufruct and leasehold rights under the Cambodian Civil Code. In 2021, he co-authored an article examining the proportionality between actions taken to protect the right to life and the right to freedom of domestic movement in Cambodia during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020–2021, under the initiative of the Raoul Wallenberg Institute (RWI) Cambodia.

He holds a Master Degree of Laws from South Korea (2011) and a Bachelor of Laws from the Royal University of Law and Economics and the University Lumière Lyon 2 (France) (2009).
