Ms. CHOUN Morokot

Morokoth is currently the Deputy Director of Law School at the Royal Academy of Justice for Cambodia. She joined the Ministry of Justice of the Kingdom of Cambodia in late 2020. Before holding her position as the Deputy Director of Law School, she was the Director of the Secretariat of the Council for Legal and Justice at the Ministry of Justice. Other than her work as a civil servant, she was also an advisor to the teams from the Royal University of Law and Economics for the 2021 Nelson Mandela World Human Rights Moot Court Competition (Nelson Mandela Competition) and a co-coach to the 2022 and 2023 Nelson Mandel Competition respectively.

As a student, Morokoth competed in the 10th Nelson Mandela Competition where her team was awarded the 3rd Best Memorandum. Other than this competition, she also competed in the 14th and 16th Willem C. Vis (East) International Commercial Arbitration Moot where her team achieved the Honorable Mentioned for Best Claimant Memorandum at the 16th Willem C. Vis (East) International Commercial Arbitration Moot.

Morokoth holds a Bachelor of Laws from the Royal University of Law and Economics and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Comparative Law from Nagoya University under the Japanese Government (MEXT) scholarship.
